Segnale Digitale is a collective name which gathers and represents a group of filmmakers, producers, dj's, musicians and digital artisans. It operates between Los Angeles, Toronto, London, Amsterdam, Milan, Bologna and Lecce. Involved for years in audio, video and multimedia productions, deeply influenced by all forms of StreetArt and StreetCulture, they produce works of an independent nature and inspiration with strong countercultural connotations, through the use of poor and rich digital techniques, using means, forms and structures completely independent from the mainstream's dominant multimedia influences and making emerge new artistic and social sensibilities, bound together by a deep conscience of cultural, spiritual and human roots connected to new and antique traditions of the people of the world.

Elio Gelmini was born in 1959 in Casagiove, Caserta, Italy. As a filmmaker, by his own with "A Few Step Productions" and later on with "SegnaleDigitale", he has written, produced and directed documentaries and experimental films.
